This is a gentle adjustment protocol using minute force that aids the natural healing of the spine.

The doctor will review which chiropractic body adjustment they have determined is best for you. Your doctors are trained to treat you with the following techniques:

  • Thompson

    Thompson

A technique that determines misalignments of the pelvis and spine through leg length differentiation. Thompson technique requires a specific table that absorbs the force of the adjustment. In this technique, there is no bending or twisting. Rather, most of your adjustment will occur while you are laying on your stomach.

  • Webster

    Webster

A very specific chiropractic adjustment technique and protocol for the pregnant woman. See Expecting mothers - Webster technique page for more information →

  • Diversified

    Diversified

The most common chiropractic body adjustment technique. The patient is evaluated through motion palpation to determine which joints are not moving properly. The diversified adjustment is a quick, short thrust to the spine. This technique does have twisting and cavitations to the spine. The patient will usually hear popping noise during this type of adjustment. The noise is air moving within the joint capsule going into the paraphysiological space to provide a neurological reset musculoskeletal system that improves your range of motion and decreases the pain, discomfort or tightness experienced in the region.

  • ART - Active Release Technique

    ART - Active Release Technique

A newer technology in adjusting that uses an instrument to determine the specific spinal level and correct force to be applied to the spine to increase the range of motion and decrease pain throughout the body. The adjustment delivered by the instrument uses small, quick impulses to decrease the muscles spasm around the spinal joint. Without any thrust, there is an instant change in the spine's alignment. This is an excellent technique for patients who have low bone density, painful muscle spasms, or prefer a light force type of adjustment.

  • Pediatric Adjusting

    Pediatric Adjusting

Adjusting a newborn, infant, toddler, child or adolescent is different than adjusting an adult. At each stage of development, the patient is evaluated differently due to the changes in the neuromuscular and skeletal systems. The treatment and care plans will also be different because the young heal much quicker than the old; although, it care plan is always dependent on the reason for care.

  • Pelvic Blocking

    Pelvic Blocking

After careful evaluation of the pelvis, the doctor positions pelvic blocks to align the pelvis and decrease pain. The patient will lay either on their stomach or back depending on your evaluation. Once the blocks are placed in the correct position, the patient lays for a short time to allow the pelvis to align itself without any impulse from the doctor.

  • Activator

    Activator

The most common form of instrument adjusting. The chiropractor evaluates the patient through specific protocols to determine how to correct the neuromuscular imbalances in the spine. Patient is adjusted with the activator instrument. Most patient's hear the click of the activator during this type of adjusting. There is no force delivered during this adjustment except for the instrument. This is an excellent technique for patients who have low bone density, painful muscle spasms, or prefer a light force type of adjustment.

  • Flexion/Distraction

    Flexion/Distraction

Flexion-distraction is a treatment for the lumbar spine that is performed when the patient is face down with the table going up and down.

  • Applied Kinesiology

    Applied Kinesiology

This technique uses muscle testing to determine if a joint in the body needs a neuromuscular reset to restore the body's overall posture, improve posture and decrease pain. After the evaluation, patient's joint is adjusted using one of the many techniques explained above. This is one of the many parts of the evaluation process to restore your body's health.
